Dr. Jackson has been conducting research in alcohol use for over 25 years. She is an applied social psychologist with expertise in the developmental course of alcohol use in underage youth and emerging adults and the individual and contextual mechanisms of influence underlying alcohol use and co-use. Her research bridges substantive theory and advanced methodologies, applying innovative approaches to alcohol use researchHer work to date includes both prospective survey studies and fine-grained ecological studies with mobile assessment as well as secondary data analysis. Her training and expertise are highly interdisciplinary and she regularly collaborates with researchers in the areas of clinical psychology, developmental psychology, psychiatry, public health, epidemiology, social ecology, and quantitative psychology.
